Okay, I talked about it, I did it.
I set up a fair fight between Gorn and Jackal. It was most difficult to get there, but I finally did it!
1) The first problem I encountered was to choose a perfect place for it. I planned on having a real arena fight, but none of the combatants wanted to stay there. While Gorn left the arena for his post at the Free Mine, Jackal cantered over to the south gate where he remained. Since I'm not a wizard and my typing is really slow, they never managed to meet at Scatty's place.
2) I tried to set up the fight at the original place, the Free Mine gate. It didn't work - as soon as I inserted Gorn, he started to whack me. This proved to be highly distracting.
3) The best possible place turned out to be the OC castle courtyard: enough space to be able to insert one opponent in the other's way. It worked, though I had to clean the yard of bystanders for it to work.
Ladies and Gentlemen, grab your popcorn and welcome our gladiators: In the right corner, weighing 500 tons including the chip on his shoulder, New Camp mercenary "Pick Up The Soap" Gorn! In the left corner, wearing a red bathrobe, Old Camp guard "Slimeball" Jackal!
Round 1:

Gorn wins the first round with bravado. Two strikes with his axe and his opponent is a red smear on the yard.
Round 2:

Acting heavyweight champion Gorn defends his title... but barely so. A near miss by Jackal spells the guard's doom - another butterfly end for him. The victor limps back into his corner, completely bled out.
Round 3:

Another quick round. Gorn cuts his hapless opponent in half. Trumpets herald his third victory in a row - a hattrick.
Round 4:
http://www.schuhmacher-net.de/~nicole/JG4.JPG
Gorn's legendary temper is his downfall this time. He commits the grave strategical error of beating down Jackal and then attack the (immortal) announcer in a fit of rage - allowing his opponent to show that his real strength lies in his use of distance weapons. Jackal gets up behind the mercenary's back and downs him with a single crossbow bolt. After that, he draws his axe and attacks the (immortal) announcer.
So we can distill it down to this - Gorn is the better fighter, hands down. He should win at the Free Mine without his immortality flag... provided he learns to control his temper.
...the loser:

Nice. Too bad some of the links didn't work. You might want to look into that.
EDIT: Correction, they work fine, Explorer is just stupid.

Well, you just can't shoot nice photos when there's the blade of a double bladed axe in your face all the time.

Great fight, Jaz! No offense to you, but I'm glad Gorn won. I've always hated Jackal, though not as much as Bloodwyn. |

how is the fight possible? Gorn is immortal.
(at least i cant kill him)
so far ive found that Diego, Milten, Lester, Gorn, Baal Tyon, Cronos, Gomez and Bartholo till chap5 are immortal. for some strange reason Lares and Lee arent.

You just need to change their immortal status.

Jaz, You know what made this fight even more unfair?
Jackal is a level 50 guard
and Gorn is level 999.
although Gorns stats say he is level 15, he fights as a level 999.
