I had the chance to look at this a while ago...to be honest, I'm not sure what I think. The techno-fantasy world doesn't really gel with me but it is different. The (early) version I saw had some camera issues and it wasn't long enough to check out the most interesting features - supposedly non-linear with multiple paths and endings. Definitely worth consideration if you don't mind hack-and-slash combat (and stuff like vehicles) in a different setting. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |

Yeah, I don't mind hack and slash as long as the camera control is good, and the controls overall are neat and user friendly.
I'm nearly at 80% of the download now, can't wait for it to finish. _________________ "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" -Edmund Burke. Mentioned in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. |

Seems to have a Neverwinter Nights type interface. I was hoping for an active control system like Messiah (anyone else play that game???).
Also the game ran extremely smooth - no reason they can't beef up those low res textures! The Avatar model was driving me crazy - really needs some better textures.
The mood/atmosphere and music in the game is great. Reminds me of BladeRunner. _________________ "For Innos!" |

I just played this game and I gotta admit, it's crazy. Well, it would have been alot of fun if I would have known where to get the ammunition from
I would put this game under the RPS category - Role Playing Shooter.
And I would give the game about an 8/10.
The graphics are very nice, though I had to disable the glow effect as well as the shadows to keep me from lagging.
But the gameplay is fast paced and could be compared to a shooter.
If this game would have a multiplayer, it would rock!
Oh and yeah, the mood of the game rocks too _________________ "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" -Edmund Burke. Mentioned in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. |

XVampireX, if you're not already being paid to seed forums with favourable comments about pending games, why not consider looking into it? |

You know I've noticed these kind of comments lately around here and its disturbing. I wish people would stop condemning people for liking games or accusing them of being paid trolls.
Where's the evidence? He didn't say anything glowing anyway. Are we not supposed to give an opinion???
What's with you and abbaon in the "Mount and Blade" thread making accusations? _________________ "For Innos!" |

I'm not getting paid for doing that, it was purely my own opinion of the game.
Every person in this world has their different opinions on things, if you would go to gamefaqs, would you say that everyone who made a review for a game was getting paid?
Besides, I played Diablo 1 and 2 and expansions to hell.... including mods.
Why would I not like such a game? Ok, so maybe I should just lower the score a little bit, perhaps you just didn't like my score. Ok, so lets say I gave it 7.5 or even just 7? I can see it getting repetitive after a little while if the beginning is all there is (Hack and slash with no story, although I doubt it). I really liked the introduction movies, didn't really want to skip them, unlike other games.
I liked the dark mood the game gave me.
Just because I give my opinion does not mean I'm getting paid for hyping this game. If you didn't like the game, just be quiet or if you really want, say that you didn't like it. You're not the only person in this world, you know? _________________ "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" -Edmund Burke. I was joking. Obviously the Mount & Blade team can't afford to pay anyone for anything. |

Played it some more and I found a HUGE bug in the game.
I don't know if you noticed it already, but there's a bug which makes it so that if you go somewhere, you have chances of starting to move up, up to the point of no coming back...
But overall, the game is pretty neat, alot of hack and slash _________________ "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" -Edmund Burke. Mentioned in Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. |
