Don Barlone is tough to hit. I think my 3rd winner (which killed him for the CoC) was level 13 when they managed it. Pretty much, I could heal as fast as he could hurt, so we just kept swinging until he fell.

I killed him about the third try. I havent tried paying him for it yet...
How I killed him was random luck with an instant kill weapon by my samurai. I was around level 11.

I was wondering about the rat mafia, and how the story goes if you rob the bank, pay for the astral dominus and in general cooperate with the rattus. Is there something else they add to the story as your friends, or do they disapear from it after you have the astral dominus?

As far as I know, you've mentioned everything you can do with the Ratzuka. In fact, you can't complete the bank robbery quest because Rattus Rattus disappears.

Well I have already had two more encounters with the ratzuka. One outside ARnika a bunch of rats attacked me ( rattus in fact) and said
"If you want to find the cosmic circle walk around a bunch of times till youre dizzy and it will be cosmic" or something like that and attacked.

Then in um some wilderness or other with the one temple thats filled with stuff that kills you in three rounds (lol) a group of ratzuka walked up to me on the path and said, "just so you know Don corlone has put a contract out on you and next time we meet i will have to kill you"

Then I followed them and they said " pay us 4000 gold it will be worth it" I said yes and they walked away....

SO there are at least two more scripted encounters with ratzuka on the roads. What Im wondering though is if I hadnt killed don corlone, would I get different encounters or just none....

When you talk to Don corlone, he says hes going to get into dark savants tower. What Im wondering is if you cooperate with them do they have some way of helping you get in the tower or tell you how or was that just talk.

I have had a few encounters with the Razuka. Every time, it was right outside of Trynton on the A-T road, and it happened multiple times per game. First time through, I cooperated with Rattus and Don Barlone, and eventually killed Barlone for the AD. IIRC, I had Razuka shaking me down for gold only after I killed Barlone. Second time through, I killed Rattus when I met him. This turned Barlone hostile, and I could never talk to him. Again, it was only after I killed Barlone that I was encountering the Razuka wandering around. I think the Razuka are just all talk, and I that there is no way to "ally" with the Razuka, although you can pay them off rather than fight. I also think that you won't encounter them unless you kill Barlone. While they had a few lines, they don't say anything that is useful.

There are other types of encounters with the Ratzukies, mostly in road areas--once you take the Don, or even Rattus.
There's some other similar scripted encounters with Savant types, too, once you get one or two of the main quest items.
But all these bits seem random in that they don't happen every game and their location varies.

I had my first encounter with them as soon as I left Arnika with the CM from the Mook. They tried to shake me down, but I put the smackdown on them.

I went off to the Umpani base camp and gave the sgt.(?) the arm. I forgot about his reaction, heh heh.

Will Don Corelone (sp) be hostile when I return after killing the ratzooka?

I planned on killing him anyway for the CoC, but will I get both the CoC and ADomanee when I kill him.

Is there another place to get the CoC and since I'm on the subject of weapons where are the Mauler and Diamond Eyes for my lord. The two weapons he had weren't very good, so I gave him the shock/stun(?) rod from the T'rang.

1) You get the AD for killing the Don if and only if you've seen the scripted scene with the Dark Savant in the swamp first.

2) The CoC only shows up on the Don.

3) Mauler is available for sale at Ferro's and Diamond Eyes can be picked up at the Death Lord's Burrow in the MW. otter has mentioned the DE occasionally shows up as random loot in some chest, but I don't remember which chest.

I've never gotten a DE in any chest. The other DE drops off the Shaman in the tree. Don't worry if you can't PP--those guards in the corners will help you kill him, and no other Trynnie is affected if you do. May take a few tries, though; he's got a pretty big list.

Edit: The original questions about what else you can get for a Lord training Maces: Disrupter Mace, bought or PP'd from Crock, is the best you can do before you get to a DE or Mauler. It doesn't do much damage, but it KO's 25% and Kills 2%. Just build up your Lord's Strength, and let her Vit lag a bit--Str makes the same amount of Stamina as Vit, but the Str adds Damage. Hammer for the off-hand to build up Dual and Mace. Enchanted Mace is nice, it has +10 to Mace, and something like 15% KO, those can be in the coffins behind Gregor, or in the Lightning Rod chest, UM. PP/kill Lorrac for Ench Mace. Annointed Flail is the best you can do against Undead; Braffit sells them (and drops one sometimes, but don't kill him).
Metallic Slimes drop all manner of maces, but i haven't got a Disrupter out of one, i don't think it's on their list...Bildublu and Panrack both drop Hammers, if you can PP, or just buy them from Antone. Ninjas have a lot of fun dual-wielding Nunchake, buy from Antone or Crock (or PP Crock).

Alas, it's too late to buy anything off Crock.

Also the Rattis are no more, got both AD and CoC from him.

I've killed Shaman Das many times and have never gotten DE from him. Will probably try again as I head back from the Rattkin trees.

Well, its all over. My party of 4 has become cosmic lords! Yes, we wrote in the book.

However the game has gotten under my skin again and I'm looking forward to trying another party.

Yeah! Yay! etc!
I just got to the point with a duet (Liz Ninja and Human Lord) that's looking like it'll be #25.
The Ninja's having a lot of fun with dual Nunchake, and we just got the first DE from the Shaman for the Lord. When we get to the second DE and Ferro for Maulers and Infy Helms, the Ninja's switching to Fighter.
I have another duet, Bard8 to Sam and Bishop11 to Lord, but their practising is taking so long, i'm probably gonna ignore them for a while.

Well many have started and none has left the monastary until now!

Another party of 4:
Hobbit Rogue Male
Hobbit Gad Female
Hobbit Bard Female
Dwarf Priest Male

The second string team so to speak. Every party has one or two, but mainly as supports so I decided to send them out on their own.

I removed and re-installed Wiz8 and only applied the 001b patch to play with pp. Rogue is pp, Bard is music, Gad is L&T and priest for healing. We left the monastary and are making our way to Arnika. See you!
