How can we know whether something is good enough for a certain purpose, when we don't know that purpose?!
Geforce 6600GT will certainly run them, PB said that they wanted their game to be playable on a Geforce 4. Is it enough to run both games with every setting maxed? Probably not. _________________ "Who are we to call this planet Earth, when it's clearly Ocean."

I have a GeForce 6600GT myself, and yes - it will definetly run them, as I can run World of Warcraft on almost full settings without any difficulties.
If you have the chance, go for a 6800GT instead though, as it is known to have less bugs. I have experienced a few graphical issues with the 6600GT(even in Gothic 2). It's not a big thing, but the 6800GT is definetly a better card, and should be able to run both Oblivion and Gothic 3 on full settings I'd say.
Also, it depends a lot on what the rest of the hardware is, more specifically how much RAM you have. If you have 1GB ram or more, and a 6800GT card, you should run every game in the world smoothly at full settings even with a 1,5Ghz processor(like mine). |

Wait until the last possible moment. Graphics cards only get cheaper. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Enough for Gothic 1 or Gothic 3?
YOu should be aware that new graphics card often have problems with old games. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

I'd say you'll know about the TES4 (it's not morrowind: oblivion, morrowind was the third game in the elder scrolls series) in just about 8 weeks, give or take some. As it's coming out in November sometime.
Though just going by the movies/screenies, i'd say with that card (I don't know your other specs, Ram is pretty important) you can expect probally low>mid'ish mixing and maxing of things. |

Yeah it will run it good maybe not amazing though on full settings with tons of stuff going on but it depends on the engine and how optimized it is , i have a Radeon 850XT and i was playing some really crappy zombie shooting game made by some russian devs the graphics were like 1999ish and i got horrible fps
I havent got to test out my card on any game yet and see its full power in use not alot of games to play on pc , and ive never had any problems with any game with my videocards new or old. |
