Did you try the TOB add on called Ascension?

If you liked the original ending of TOB, the guy who was one of the developers made the last battles even beter. Plus a few "old enemies" can become your allies, if you have enough tact.

I had to get TOB out of my system before I could play the retail gothic.

-Whats this game called again? Gothic.

Oh, by the way, don't buy Gothic if you're expecting to solve complicated puzzles that require the hands of a surgeon, the dexterity of an Olympian, the IQ of a genius, and the luck of a lottery winner. Maybe it's me and my battle with the aging process; but some games that I've played have had puzzles that were downright impossible to figure or do out without help, and had to be redone over and over until you did some task exactly right. Oh, don't get me wrong, there are decisions to be made in Gothic, there are tough questions to ask, but the pale in comparison to some other games. And you know what; I like it that way.
