house redoran: rescue sarethi from venim manor how?

hi,
i can't seem to figure this out. i'm suppose to rescue Varvur Sarethi from venim manor, yet i cannot find a way without resorting to stealing the key and killing people which puts a bounty on my head. any help would be appreciated.

Well, I just stole the key while sneaking, but you could pick the lock. Then tell him to 'Go together' and he'll follow you. You will be attacked and you will have to defend yourself, but since you don't start the combat you don't have a bounty.

As long as no one sees you pick the lock than you won't get a bounty. I just ran for the exit as soon as I picked him up. The guards stop chasing you once you get outside.
