Some unforseen technical difficulty |
|
This is really wierd but things weren't the same as it used to be when I resumed my journey in Wizardry 8. Seems that some sounds aren't being played. When my fighters hit the mobs with their weapons you can hear the impact. However, when the mobs attack me(i.e. plants shooting acid spray) I can't hear them spraying like I used to. Also, when my spellcasters use spells like fireball, psionic blast, and psionic fire, I can't hear those either. I tried looking through the controls list thinking that I may have hit something that would disable some sorts of sound. I can find nothing. Anyone know what this is? |

All the audio is controlled out of the options screen. Look for the mute button to be lit up.
If all else fails, you might need to think about a reinstall. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Aha I figured it out. I sat down and thought hard on what I had done on my puter since this happened. I had run doom 3, crappy game btw, and I had changed my speaker settings from quadrophonic to surround so that I can use surround sound in the game. I changed it back to quadrophonic and now it works again. Hope this piece of info helps someone in the future. |

yes compare the content of doom 3 to wizardry 8.
They are similar in some ways, mazes monsters...
But in doom 3 you fight the same 6 monsters in different combinations over a1000 times.
The entirety of your experience is to find the combination to the armory so you can get enough ammo to beat the things gaurding the exit.
there are a total of about 8 weapons and about 15 different things to pick up.
doom 3 does have great cut scenes and well acted voice messages.
but wizardry 8 is like 1000 times the game. |
