are the mods for single player games too? do the expand the land? or are they seperate games? thanks.

There are tons of mods out that can be played both single-player and multiplayer. The best place to look is NWN Vault.

thanks for the reply, Val. That's cool. But, do they add to the existing game world like Morrowind? Or the seperate games? Thanks again.

As far as I can tell the modules are seperate. There are haks, portraits, sounds, scripts, textures and more that you can add in if you really want to though. Although, I'd just use those for the creation of new modules.
