I am playing NOTR and I am in search of the ornaments.
Whe i activate the three switches near lobarts farm all i get is a small earthquake and a notation in my diary of the earthquake
What is going on here??
I have talked to Lothar and cant remember any mention of an ornament
Anyway i go to Lord Hagen and still no option of in the dialogue of the ornament.
HOWEVER, coming to think of it i talked to Cavalorn and if i rember i got something to give Lares or Vatras i think and Lares he said he would take it to the water mages...i cant remember what it was??
I activated and got the ornaments from the stone rings in the forest and by sekobs farm. Howeve i never got and option in the dialogue while talking to Lares for hime to help me before i went.
I am wondering if Saturas is the problem!
I joined the ring of water and got the letter form Vatras to go to Saturas.
I am not sure if he took it though. I have run out of dialogue options in speaking to him except to teach me magick to which he keeps telling me no.
When I spoke to him I had on both my ring of water armour and my aquamarine ring
I have no dialogue options left with the water mage studying the portal.
When i try the activation thingy to the right of the portal i get a message saying that i dont have the right item
SO! I got two ornaments and need two more.

I've read in other posts that Nefarious has to give u a map along with the quest but he did not give me any. My diary says he is just looking the ornaments.
I really hope this isnt a bug!
I also read in another post that u have to wait untill chapter 3 to go to the addon world.
So I am off to the VOM |

The valley of mines is way too hard now. You should go to th add-on world first.
Unfortunately I donīt remember the solution to your main problem.

Well I'm back from VOM!
I got the letter from Garond and gave it to hagen, who in turn gave me a letter to get in the monastsry to get the eye of innos
I used the portal by the Dead Harpy Inn to go to the water mages excavation site and still no map from nefarious or quest!
Someone please help me!! I got to be missing something!!! |

I'm having this same issue.
I'm a Fire Mage in Chapter 3. I originally visited the Water Mages in Chapter 2 and had some nice conversations but no one gave me a quest nor a map of any kind. I was part of the Ring of Water at that time.
When I try talk to Nefarious now he just has "END" and other mages are no use.
Any help would be great?! |

Never mind I figured it out.
I had to talk to Lares, I'm playing the English version but he had a conversation line called:
"(Ornament - Stuck zuruckverlangen)"
When I chose it he gave me the ornament. I took it to Saturas and it freed up conversation with him which in turn freed up Nefarious to give me the map. |
