Newbie Question

I have a really newbish question. I haven't played long, and I just made a thief. I'm wondering, how do you get sneak up? I sneak around constantly, and its not moving. Ever. Please tell me what im doing wrong and the best way to get it up.

You shouldn't be seen when sneaking around if you want your sneaking atttempts to be successful. So you ought to pick a stationary, solitary (!)person, get behind that NPC, make sure the NPC can't see you, and start sneaking. Make sure the sneak symbol is showing. If you're feeling mean-spirited, face a wall behind said NPC, press the auto-walk key, put a weight on the sneaksy key and go out and have fun. When you return, your sneak skill should have been raised significantly.
It's a bit difficult as long as your sneak skill is low, the hardest part is not being seen, but with some practice you will get the hang of it.
Oh yes, I forgot, it's easiest when you have a chameleon spell (or something similar) handy. Very useful if your skill is still low.

Ahh ok thanks.

I did the weight thing in Seyda Neen's tradehouse and got my sneak up to 100 overnight. I also bought a 100 charmeleon spell for 10 seconds, so I can steal anything. Thanks
