Will the translator work on the retail version?

Yes, you open the same file with subtitles(there are several, do the same on all), and copy/paste it to a translation program, and then copy it back..

I wouldn't advice you to do this however, because you'll miss out on the dialouge, film clips, some quests which you basically can't understand due to bad translation and so on..

Wait for the real game with the rest of us.. we have to stick together you know!
