I've been playing tihs game for 1 day, here're my initial impressions (overally I like DS pretty much)

- graphics: good, works well even on lowends (gf2mx, p3 450), somehow looks like highly tuned Evil Islands. but nothing new - just "standard" 3d engine, nothing to whistle about.

- music: appropriate, but nothing special

- gameplay: simply kill'em all, but funny. very good party management (but I'm playing only single character, with 6 mules so far). yet story could be less linear. singleplayer (and map) is written in a way, that it's almost impossible to miss something or get lost. you just go and slash new monsters. if you don't diablo-style game, you probably won't like this game. otherwise give it a try

- character developmnet: what ? what charactter development ? as stated in many [p]reviews, character development is automatic, basing on what you actually do in game. I think it's nice, but could be more specific (like better using different types of weapons / spells, not all in general - melee/ranged/magic)

- multiplayer: no idea yet, but it could rock, especially with siege editor and if gas supports both (game/editor) in future. I suppose, that increasing max number of players to 16 or 32 could be really nice (mp world is really huge and you can build even lerger yourself). also closed characters and persistent world (far future, if at all) would be nice.

- other: I like little details - like: possibility to cast a spell x times to achieve x*its basic lasting, "continuos" flask (you drink only what you need) and single key for drinking (one for mana, one for , packmule (doh), probably few others that I forgot.

- misc: looks like game, that D2 should have been. simply as that
