I'm about to ship out at the end of chapter 5.
I have met up with all the possed on Pyr's list, including Sekob and Brutus, who appeared last. Yet Pyr tells me I haven't found all the Seeker books and the quest is still open.
I did get the protective amulet from Kerras.
How do I finish this quest? Or do I finish it before leaving on the ship?

When you choose your crew, you can bring Mario (in Kardif's bar), He has a book, bring Vatras with you also so you can turn the book in during chapter 6. If you don't bring Mario or Vatras, the quest still shows finished during chap 6 just before the final confrontation.

Hmm. I just dismissed Mario. I want to keep all my friends from Gothic 1 as crew. I wonder if I can get the book by fighting him. It's worth a try.

You can have most of your friends and Mario. Choose 9 people then Mario can come as number 10, then choose your captain. Then go on the ship and get Girion. Remember to choose Mario last as regular crew,

I had asked everyone except Lester. When I talked to him, my character said the Lester couldn't come - we had a full crew. So I went back to the dock and dismissed Maria and Angor. Then Lester joined me. I already have Jorgen as the captain.

Ah, if you choose capt early and take ship early that's 2 crew the game won't let you choose. Oh well, maybe some other time.
