We'll speak more on that topic, later Val, you lucky woman, you!
I am having an absolute blast with this game! I love the NPCs in my party and the way they react and bicker. Jeff just makes these games better and better with every new release. Several problems with the previous Geneforge games are now gone. The gameplay is fantastic. It's a pity his games aren't more recognized. They are pure fun to play and a real challenge. It's so refreshing.
Try this game people!
Oh, I know. I absolutely loved the game. After playing the demo, I am willing to forgive the downsides of the game (it seems more linear, the smaller number of factions) just for all of the new stuff that's there! |

Yeah, I'm running two characters right now. One that's siding with the Shapers and the other siding with the Rebels. Then I'll play a power-mad psycho that tries to kill everyone. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

Pulled some Dungeon Lords. Plays well, but I'm going to wait for the second or maybe even the third patch before I play again. But lately I've been pulling chingos of Wizardry 8. Rowdy game. Ranks up there in my top 10 ever. Also just beat Chrono Cross for the ps1. It was good, but not as good as Final Fantasy 7. I'm also trying to beat Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the N64. Very well made game. But for the most part, Wizardry 8 is commanding my time, I love it. I'm in the swamps and I'm leveling my dudes to 17 ish, They're mostly at 14-15 right now. I'm still having trouble with those darn dreadmares and rynjin elites.
On another note, I'm a little sad. Not that the games aren't hacking it but recently I tried getting two of my friends into Wiz 8. But they were both turned off by the interface. I urged them to at least give it a good 20 mins but they refused. They both loved Jagged Alliance, great game by the way, which is odd because it's basically the same idea, except you can't spread out your characters as much. Anyhow, it just pisses me off that my friends don't give this game a whirl when it can be so rewarding. And yes, Wiz 8 is not for everyone, but even I was turned off by the interface when I first tried it 7 months ago. What progged me into giving it another go was reading up on the forums here on rpgdot.com. Anyhow, I'm glad I have you guys talk to to about games like Wizardry 8. But I do feel like a rare breed of gamer. Gaming Goodness to All. |

Morrowind! Morrowind! Morrowind!
I've also been playing Forza & DOOM3! _________________ Between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis and the gleaming cities…there was an Age undreamed of, when shining kingdoms lay spread across the world like blue mantles beneath the stars…Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand…to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandaled feet. - Robert E. Yup - that sounds just about right ... but I am not sure about the pink coloration *grin*
@Val - Hey, I just realized that I've seen a reference to your chipper shredder or your hammer in ... oh ... ages! So now I've corrected that.
Started messing around with the unregistered version of the game last week ... it IS fun! But not as much as Wiz 8 or the soon to be available to me (I hope) Grimoire beta. _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

@Lintra: Why not pink? You'd never suspect them until they pull out the bazookas.
I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the game. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

@Val - Why not pink? An easy two part answer:
Part 1 - 'cuz the only pink bunny I am familiar with is the one with the drums advertising batteries, guarenteed to make me suspicious;
Part 2 - Pink just doesn't strike me as *your* color Too .... ummm ..... main stream. Fuzzy white bunnies or black or even fuzzy chartreuse bunnies ... but not pink. _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

Just picked up Might & Magic 7 and 8 both for 99pence(UK) each second hand so many more hours of RPGing from them is imminent!
Just started playing Arx Fatalis again too. |

Awesome! As so many of you out there know, MM7 is one of my all time favorite games ... I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!!
Oh, did they come with manuals? If not, get a hold of a copy before starting, party design is half the fun (just ask dte *grin*). _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=

@Lintra: *sigh* Clearly you have no understanding of the clever, evil thought processes of my mind. I'd make them pink so you wouldn't think that I made them. But since you now know, I'll drop the pretense.
*Sends an evil horde of pink, vampire bunnies armed with bazookas to attack the SBR. Gives them instructions to take the mini-bar hostage and destroy all enemies.*
That should keep you meddling kids occupied for awhile.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!
