Well, if they can do everything than the realism in the game sucks . In Gothic 1 I saw a shadow making the plants grow faster (if you know, what I mean ) I don't thing womens should be able to do THAT

The small number of women ("females"?!?) and their position sort of made sense in Gothic 1, since this was a mining prison. And even in medieval worlds one didnt really mix men and women in prisons.
The only females around were not prisoners but requested supplies (ugh) as we saw in the intro.

In the real world I should hope a more balanced position for women RPG, and reading about that is what we'll get.

Besides it must have occured to the developers that about 40% of gamers nowadays are women (or girls)...

Yep,I agree....and fully expect it to be like it....
That X% are girls...I don't know how much it matters to a game like this tbh....
I mean RPG's are a genre that girls/women like...but if Gothic2 isn't marketed a tad differently than Gothic there's a risk they'll ignore it....(with marketed I meant setting and all...but I do suspect that Gothic2 will be "more general" in its approach)
Having women more a vital part than Gothic makes it good imho...since it'll just make the world more living.(even though I -as you- did understand their position in Gothic and even though I wanted a tad more interactivity I overall can understand why I didn't...)

Good question, ask it in the Differences between Gothic 2 and Gothic 1 thread. A developer might answer.

Yeah, developer should aware about the growing trend of more women playing computer games. Beside that, it's always a good idea to appeal to as many as possible players out there, not just focus on male gamer market only.

There should be children. It isn't a prison in Gothic II. It's a normal town - Khorinis with farmers, city dwellers, and there should be also there children, right? (I wan't to see Mud's litle brother )

In many games there are no children. Morrowind does not have them.

It can also be a hinder....it's imho better to make the game you want in the way you want it and let those wanting the same buy it...
I mean, there's no way to please all tastes...to please as many as possible you'd need to water things down, combat, profanity and so on...and that kind of game wouldn't be something I'd look hard for...

About kids...in the UK it's forbidden to put kids in games (if they can be killed) so you'd have the choice of making them invincible or not put them in if you're going to make an open game like MW...
Fallout for instance didn't have kids in the UK version since you could kill them just like anything else...
But I can't really see it as such a big problem in MW or other "old settings" games since you'd have to aim for them and it'd be little risk of killing one by mistake...which a burst in Fallout certainly could...

that realy mean they can't put kids in, even if they were invinvible, we could use marvin. the bottom line is there is going to be no kids...

Yes...that was my point....and reason I'd think is that they'd either have to make them invincible or lock them out in some countries...
Either is not a very good solution, hence they'll most likely do what most others do and not put them in...
