New "Action RPG": Neuro Hunters. Is it any good?

I just stumbled upon this so called action rpg (60% rpg, 30 % action as they say on their homepage).

Anyone knows how it is? The release date for germany seems to be tomorrow (2.9.05). so...

the feature list on their website sounds interesting:

code:

Features:

Cyberpunk role playing game with atmospheric graphics

First Person View

36 main and 6 side quests wrapped into an intriguing Sci-Fi-story

Gigantic subterranean World: extensive caves, secret labs, mystic temples, generator rooms uvm.

69 NPCs, you can interact and trade with

14 different monster classes and many subclasses: reptiles, hybrids, humanoid mutants, giant spiders, quantum ghosts and more…

14 different weapons with second attack options: from the rusty knife to the plasma cannon.

30 instructions and recipes, for building useful items, food or exotic weaponry

skillsystem with 7 character abilities for individual problem solutions and a high replay quality

6 classes of different implants to improve your characters’ abilities

Tactical realtime-fights in the Matrix – hacking of networks and sabotage of security systems

Theft and Data-Theft included!

impressive render cutscenes from 3D-iO

All ingame text was recorded in a professional sound studio

Well, the trailer doesn't look too bad.

I'm playing through Neuro Hunter and it's not been a great experience. The combat is awkward and unsatisfying but my biggest gripe is with the cyber battles. I'm at the battle at Cabin B01 (or somesuch) and I just can't finish it. Tips would be appreciated as there is no official forum and pretty much no FAQ activity anywhere.

EDIT: well in the spirit of the cyberpunk nature of the game - I hacked the game ini files. There's a folder for the cyberbattles so I kept the game files the same but copied over the enemy and static (towers) files from the first battle so I didn't have any towers to deal with. I also upped the damage on my crossbow by 4. You know I'm enjoying this game much more now.

Anyone know if this has been released in Europe, nothing yet here in the US?
I played the demo and seemed like a fun, quirky, indie budget title.

Thanks for any tips.

Uh. This would be cyberpunk/Fantasy. "Mystic" temples and quantum ghosts sound fantasy. Sounds more like a spelunking adventure.

It is out in Europe, and you can get it on eBay - but no US release (or date, AFAIK). I picked it up on eBay really cheap (watched it on and off for a couple of months), and it ... well, it doesn't seem very good so far. I'm early on, so I'm trying not to pass judgement, but it isn't easy.

Yiya says it´s an average game with a pretty interesting story. Nothing they would recommend for full price but okay and quite enjoyable for 20 bucks.
