I have had the same problem! The speech.vdf file unpacks for a while, and the progress bar and ETA grows, but then it starts to slowly shrink and the ETA increases, then the "insert CD #1" message appears.

It truly is very annoying.

Yes, it also happens with me when the unpacking of the speech.vdf file starts.
