I'm in chapter 1 in NOTR, level 11 with 50 str (including belt, amulet) and 45 2h. Most wandering monsters 1 can defeat, except for the shadowbeasts and the wargs. The shadowbeasts i can avoid (they are few) but the wargs block my path everywhere. Any tips on how to deal with them ? |

fight them one at a time. i have this tehniqe: wait till it jumps on you then step back, swing one/two times left-right, then step back and again. if you practice you'll get it right.

I used spells ...lightning with 150 damage was good enough but if there are many, rain of fire.. in NOTR spells are easy to use ..costs only 5 mana

Fighting one warg is not much of a problem. But its almost impossible to fight just once, since there are "linking" and if you attack one from pack - then all pack will come charging towards you |

If you run into a warg in NotR with a level 11 char you´re food. I doubt you have to explore warg areas that early. Try it again later.

when the whole pack charges -- RUN  -- do a zig-zag run, try to put as many obstacles between you and the wargs (rocks, fences...). most of the time some of them will get stuck and you'll have your single warg to fight. |
