Like everyone here I'm totally POed about there being two versions of these games. German Gothic 2 polished, English Gothic 2 buggy. German NOTR out and currently being enjoyed, English NOTR God knows. I don't know about the politics of the gaming world but surely it would make much, much more sense for PB to have made one version with BOTH German and English. It would be good for them becasue they'd only have one version to worry about, and it would be good for us because we could buy it as soon as it came out in Germany. Maybe someone who's in the know could tell me if this is at all feasible and if it is, maybe we could petition PB to do this with Gothic 3.

I wrote a letter to Atari UK asking for info on NOTR. Any bets whether I'll hear back?
I had an idea as to why the game hasn't been released or why there's not even any news. I think when PB dropped it off at Atari some guy from the mail room swiped it off the receptionist's desk and took it home. That would explain why no one at Atari knows anything about it and also why they didn't immediately release a game that would be a near guaranteed success.
