I have thought this one looked interesting from the get-go. The graphics look very good.......reminiscent of AC. I hope the charac movement is as good as it is in AC. This one could be a real contender.

Dragon Empires development ceased due to technical issues
Codemasters has taken the decision to cancel further development of Dragon Empires, the company’s massively multiplayer online role playing project.

Dragon Empires received incredible support from its online community and won acclaim from PC and online media while in development. However, technical issues have resulted in the project’s discontinuation.

Many of the game’s development team, including programmers and artists, are being transferred to Codemasters’ internal development studios to work on current and future titles.

The decision to close Dragon Empires’ development does not impact on Codemasters’ long-term ambitions in the massively multiplayer online gaming market and the company remains very active in evaluating future opportunities.

The Dragon Empires website and its popular community forums will remain live at www.codemasters.com/dragonempires for the immediate future.

These neverending story type newsletter type mmorpg's are a big sign something is wrong in the development.

I can't see why the game wasn't partly ready for a beta type release. Players would have been happy if they knew the team could deliver the goods in updates.

It's strange how there are probably million of people willing to pay for a mmorpg but no companies are near releasing, except, EQ2, Warcraft. So many years of nothing.

THis does surprise me. Seemed like more and more news and work was surrounding this title. Who knows what technical difficulties they ran into. MMORPG's are very difficult to to get off the ground aren't they. You'd think that some of these players would pull the plug sooner than later and save resources.

This one does suprise me............makes you wonder about lesser developments in progress.

If the technical problems were patent issues then stuff the US market place and release it else where, where they don't have software patents.

A PVP type game can be far more successful outside of USA.

I have a bad feeling about DF Ammon. It's really the one game I want to see go gold, but I have a bad feeling that it is only destin to be vaperware.
