Fallout 2 problem

I have got Fallout 2..and im in some sort of temple...now when i get out of this temple do i eventualy get to do what ever i want and go where i want..??

Yes. The temple is just a tutorial to learn the basic game mechanics.

Did you have to make a thread about it? Couldn't you just continue playing and see what would happen?
