...ok I think Im gonna pretty much write G2 off as a loss then.
So many other good games out there and ready to be bought, guess I'll give them my money and move on.
what a shame

d00d, I put the 'G' in gamer...
And thats why I cant be bothered waiting around. So many great games out there to be played, why should I keep waiting around for this half-assed JoWood to find a distributor. Its obvious they dont have the clout or the confidence in G2 to be a hit in anywhere other than german speaking towns.
Time to put my focus on games that are ready to be played.
Im tired of hearing thats its coming to the US on Feb.15th
oh I meant Mar.15th
oh I meant April 15th
oh oops, maybe its now going to be Dec 15th after just in time for the 2003 Holiday season.
JoWood should have stuck to the Q1,Q2,Q3 at least then they only have to put their foot in their mouths 1/3 months

"The anticipation is evrything, although Gothic 2's coul be a while shorter..."
What you meant to say was a while L O N G E R

so many great games out there??? I don't see anything similar to Gothic 2 if it's as good as they say, and I loved Gothic 1. Gothic is a unique game. the only bigger anticipation I have is for the Greyhawk:TOEE game from Troika games. I wish Pirahnia had a more comptent publisher or distributed it online or something, they'd make more money too

JoWooD did stick to the quarter release date business. Right now their official release date is Q2/2003. The other dates were brought up by retailers, not JoWooD themselves.

well, all the pre-order sites and all the stores I called are still claiming 4/17.
I hope I can stick my foot in my mouth on the 17th and be proven wrong, cause despite all the crap Im talking, I'm STILL dying to get my hands on G2. I just hate the way companies dangle the carrot in front of you then snatch it away 1-2 weeks before the date they set is upon us

Actually, jowood games are prett far out.
Just think of the upcoming Spellforce, it's sure to ROCK, although it may be released in 2024, by then i'll probably had died from the 4th World war, but keep thinkin positive, G2 may still come out this year

Who am i kidding? I surf the net every day lookin' for every info about G2 out there, but it's running out, I NEED THE GAME

There are good games coming soon, but i dont see any currently on the market because there isnt any really goods at present. They are all coming. For instance:

Star Wars Galaxies, Dragon Empires, Planetside, Dawn of Fantasy, Deus Ex 2, Doom 3, Etherlords 2, GoldenLand, Goth-- err not that one, KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC, Horizons, Lethal Dreams, Morrowind Blood Moon, Temple of Elemental Evil, et cetera...

Gothic 2 is just european vaporware, from my perspective here in the grand ole eeU Ess of Ay...

Yes, but since JoWooD didn't find an international distributor, release was pestponed.
