Not everything is translated, some of the stats are still in german, but almost everything besides that is translated. Happy playing temptress!

Sweet!

Thanks nate! That works beautifully. I really enjoy island hopping around the wrecks and swimming with the manta rays.
That graveyard is really cool.
PS: How do you take screenshots?

There's a screenshot thread on this page... you can use "printscreen" (in which case you'll have to save your screenshot in a graphics program after each one), or use a handy free utility Gorath recommends, linked on this site's "contact" page.

I finally gave in to curiosity and "broke out" today too... was surprised at how many more quests I was able to complete! The farmer and the mercenaries, the two brothers, and the drinking contest! Still trying to find a way to get to some places I've seen but not been to.

heh

I haven't managed to get the drinking contest going, but I trained the goblins to the mercenaties to kill them. Funny stuff.
Just found a tower where three other mercs attack on site.
Those big lizards are tough as hell too.
I've tried Printscreen but it doesn't seem to save shots for me. I looked through the gothic.ini and couldn't see anything about enabling screenshots either.
Hrm...

Printscreen doesn't save the shots. It copies them to the clipboard. To save it, you have to exit Gothic, paste the shot in a graphics program (Windows Paint will work), and then save it. You have to do this one shot at a time, since saving a new shot to the clipboard overwrites the old one. That's why the graphics utility Gorath recommended is so useful.

The drinking contest was my favorite part of the demo.

I won 102 gold in profit from it.

Belated thank you for the english text. It 'loosely'translated enough for me to understand.

Thanks again! ~T

Errr, wait.

Drinking contest? Eh? I wanna do a drinking contest. Is that in the "nondemo" area? If so, I've tried to get into it but only to be killed by big beasties. (I don't understand the 'unlimited str and dex' thing either.)

Sorry, for the moment I'm a highj maintenance G2 player.

Loves ~T

Big lizzies

You can either go over them across a rocky pass, or you can run around the long the edge of the cliff to get past them. From there you follow the road to the right (a bunch of goblins are standing on the left at a bridge) and you'll come to an Inn where the drinkin contest is.
