Oooh!!!
So, IS this the miricle build? Or are they saying that they are going to turn on the features slowly over the next few months?

I and a few of my friends are waiting patiently... Ok, not so patiently, to find out how it is playing on it's first week out. We havn't played a really good immersive MMORPG since we stopped AC1 a long while back and are really
having our fingers crossed that this game flies true!

Thanks for offering to write for us who are still on the sidelines!

EDIT: One more question, are there animated emotes?

Well spill the bean Hollaholla. Is it fun, buggy, laggy, no-fun? Are you level 30 yet? Are you the top crafter in the game at level 7? See any flying dragons yet?

Let me give you my first impressions instead .

The launch phase in Europe (December 5th) was a catastrophy, I was able to get into the game only by yesterday. Since I haven't played the beta, I can't compare, but I can tell you what I experienced:

Stability: no issues so far.
Lag: Only small amount so far.
Graphics: Good but not great. I don't like the way the engine handles distant characters. It is VERY slow in the big city and tends to be close to a crawl shortly after logging in (and this with a Radeon 9700 and a fast computer with lots of RAM). Big minus here. The second big minus for character animation. Close to laughable for humans, they walk like with a stick in their bum.
Gameplay: interesting. This is why I will give Horizons more time. There is great potential (I am a crafting type in MMORPGs, so this one is for me).
Overall, after several hours online: not bad, not good - not decided yet

Rendelius,
Thanks for your impressions! Anyone else care to take the mic for a few moments and share your thoughts?

I am an explorer type primarily. I love running all over the world and am the type that plays an ultima to find EVERY single gold coin that a dev had dropped accidentally with their game editor in the middle of the forest. Is the world a neat and exciting place to wander in? Full of unknown ruins and towns? Or is noone brave enough to wander that far yet?

Can't say yet, really.

One more thing I noticed, which reminds me of old days of online gaming: avatars that "jump" through the world due to lag issues. Annoying.

No please put back on the kid gloves

Do you see potential here? Is the soul of the game still good?

Too early to say. But I am mildly positive about that. At least it makes me want to come back .

Go to tazoon and read there forums, especially the rants! Some one has touted Horizons the worst account creation procsess ever lol. There is NO miracle build! All the issues from beta are still there, the economy was trashed by some exploiters and all had there money taken away, thats all! The game has no swimming, no dungeons, no loot, and no soul! If your a crafter exclusively Buy it!
If you want adventure and immersion, wait for a better game.
(tested AE's pile since early August,.. They failed to listen and failed to fix the bugs and exploits that were known for months!
As for human models being ugly! David Bowman was asked about this and if they planned on improving it,..His answer DB Quote: " Play a Fiend"
In beta when we spoke out vehemently about the issues David Bowman also said Quote " If you dont like it, leave".... And No I am not a David Allen worshipper, just an honest gamer who is sick of the garbage thats been thrown at the gaming community as of late!

The more I play it, the more I like it. But it is STILL too early for a final conclusion

Today I found it rather boring. And there are loads of bugs. So my feelings are mixed.

Its a week later and we have not heard from you! What is the word with Horizons? Are you still playing? Has there been anything that has been changing?
