I'm new to Elderscrolls so im just wondering if i've made a mistake here with all the stuff i've chosen? |

For a stealth thief type character, you are awful heavy on magic, personally I'd dump a few of the magic schoools for acrobatics and mercantile. I'd make Illusion your major magic instead of mystiscism (WAY more usefull spells for a sneaky type) Move armor down to a minor skill, it improves pretty fast on it's own. Move security up to a major, you want to start pickin locks right away.
And dump heavy armor for either light/medium.
That about covers it. 
If you're like me though, you'll start and abandon at least 3-4 before you hit a combo that makes you go...this is it!

I don't have too much problem with all the magic, my thief has tons of magic also, however, lose the Heavy armor for Light or Medium.

Use ShortBlade instead of long so you can backstab. That is if you want Back Stab. Since back stab does x4 I would recommend it though. |

Yes, shortblade (agi) fits you better. You may also want to use light armor (agi) or unarmor (agi). Switch your other attribute from strength to intelligence for more magicka. You will have a hard time to develop your character if you are always oom.  |
