Im trying to get Bennet out of jail. Ive already spoken with Cornelious and given him his required 2000 GP, he in return gave me his diary. I then spoke with Lord Hagen, Lord Andre, Bennet and Lee and I can get no dialogue about the diary Ive gotten from Cornelious. who else has anything to do with Bennet being locked up? Is this a bug or did I miss something? |

You solved your own problem. If you want to get your gold back, go to the bandit cave in between Xardas' tower and Khorinis city. Cornelius went to hide there, and you can knock him out and take your 2000 coins back. |

You don't need to give him 2000 gold at all. Just whack him right away, loot his stuff, then cast Oblivion spell at him. There's absolutely no witness on the upstairs of town hall, so everything's fine. |
