broken wave out driver-
   

broken wave out driver- 'buffer done' flag never set'

Can anyone help with this bug - its mentioned in FAQ with try all levels of DirectX sound acceleration - I've tried all settings and none work.

game installs OK but I can not get to run at all - has anyone resolved this error successfully? If so how?

Amd 900
256MB
Sound VIA Ac97 on board wave
GF TI4200 - 44.03 drivers

hmm well if the direct x tests dosent work then its hardware problem or a driver problem get new drivers and try then

Disable sound in the gothic.ini and try to start the game.
Updating the sound driver and going back to DirectX8 is also an option.

Disabling sound worked - game ran OK. Turns out my sound card did not support hardware acceleration.

I installed a new 3d sound card and now works fine under Direct X9.0b.
