Burz don't matter--it's killing Sparkle that turns the Trynnies...
Incense: If you don't sleep between entering there and finishing, (which to me is only meeting the Shaman) no mobs respawn. I haven't used incense since my 2nd time through...

Sparkle went red at the first meeting. I'll just do the Shaman and move on. I don't need to open the Oak Elders door and can kill the COC guy when stronger. This whole thread was how Sparkle went red in the first place. Cleaning out Trynton is for later, I'm not strong enough yet. your right about the minimum quest and not reloading. I forgot that resting spawns mobs.

On the other hand I went to Ascensin Peak via Bela and hunkered in a corner to gain 7 levels! The monsters auto leveled but having all my magic maxed helps so far. I'm spending a ton o' time in this game.

Hey yeah I remember someone having this problem... ME!
Basically after it all went down I got disheartened thinking I couldn't beat the game and I didn't want to start over so i went on to other games. Now I'm finally back at it and I still have that silly party what had to grease poor little Sparkle.

As a veteran of this game (3 previous play throughs) but no means a master, I never had this happen. My theory was that every once and awhile Pvt. Sparkle shows her true, evil nature and goes on a murderous killing spree, starting with you.

Seriously, I think it happened because I pickpocket Burz and I'm playing the patched version (@^&%# worthless skill now). Somehow he got word to all the trynnies I'm a dirty thief... The nerve! Well i'll show him; right after I'm done killing every last one of the furry little bastards.

Since I got the mystery potion off of Fuzzfas's steaming corpse I can still finish the game. Other than the Champoins the trynnies are all weaklings so its not much more difficult. On a side note this is the first time I'm playing through with no RPCs and going for the fairy ninja. I was also ecstatic to have a Morax Ratlord drop the Sword of Four Winds, one of my Wiz7 favs. I guess that's one thing about this game's somehwat random and imbalanced treasure distribution: you can still find cool new stuff on your fourth time through!
