To Patch or Not to Patch

Since I can't find the manual version of the 1.19 patch, I have the choice of sticking with what I have 1.18 or going to 1.21.

I'm on Win98, 256MB, Dual PIII450, NVidia Rivia TNT (I think...).

Anyone else with this general configuration able to use the SP 1.21?

Thanks.

Anyone got any ideas as to why I can't patch properly. I click on update and it downloads the 5 meg required then once it gets to 100% it says that "Patch did not download correctly" and starts to re download. I have done this about 8 times now and have just given up patching at the momnet. (I only have a modem connection so I can't bare the thought of downloading 37 meg update). Cheers in advance to anyone that might be able to shed some light on my problem.

As far as I know, you don't have another choice but to download the ful 37MB 1.19 patch and install it manually. If you use the NWN auto updater, it will always fetch the latest patch for you, and Bioware doesn't keep older patches up for download on their servers.

I've downloaded it three times now and it's come up 'corrupted' each time. I think the file is bad.

Hint : if you want to play online, keep in mind that most patch versions are not compatible. So make sure you don't patch up too far (or not far enough).
