I actually made it to the lower part of the ice caves without levitate. There's a spot behind the waterfall where if you're really lucky you can jump off a torch onto a ledge.
With enough strength and close combat you could get the Ciprian sword early. Though you probably need fairly high dexterity to make the jump.
Haven't found a way up to the upper caves (without levitate) where all the good stuff is though.
Actually, there is a hole in one of the walls, but that's cheating. Using that hole I was able to get into the dragon's cave from the tunnel she comes out of and found out that the eggs can't be taken unless the dragon is in there. |

Made it up to the dragon cave without levitate. Now that was some tricky jumping. Only to find out that a fireball will bring down the ice column.
Now the question is, can a character with 14 strength and 14 dexterity make it up there. Would be nice to have the plate armor and the Ciprian sword that early. |

You should be able to make it up to a point. But there are a few parts you have to use levitate to get to, but keep us posted.

Actually, it turns out the fireball only works from behind the pillar. So, getting all the way to the plate armor, the bag, and the Comunicatum rune is really tough. But I've just about figured out the process.
Yeah, I don't see any way to get to the tunnel with the spider in it. Except if you can make it up to the dragon cave there is a scroll of levitate that you can use to get over there. There's not much over there though.
The Comunicatum rune opens up some possiblities with the Telekinisis spell.
Was able to make it to the dragon cave with only 6 dexterity so it looks like it doesn't have any affect on jumping. |

That's what's so great about this game. There are just so many ways to do stuff, and if you work at it, you can find something new every time you play it.
