How do I get past 8th level of host tower?

I need some help getting past the 8th level of the Host Tower. That's the one where the wizard (Morag, I think) is magically imprisoned in a beam of light and and he asks me to free him by destroying 4 braziers that are in different rooms. Each time you destroy a brazier, some nasty, progressively more difficult monster is summoned. I keep getting trounced by the 3rd monster, a fire elemental. Help!

What's the best way to off that sucker?
