BG2 3D Accel

For some reason I can't get 3D accel to work with BG2. I'm running a GeForce4 on WinXP using the latest NVIDIA drivers and DX9b. It works fine with 3D accel off, but I can't even complete the setup graphics test with it turned on. Any ideas what's going on here?

3D Acceleration is horrible, horrible, horrible in BG and BG2... it completely slows the game down regardless of what kind of monster card you have in your system. I'd recommend turning it off regardless... so if it doesn't work, I wouldn't sweat it.

I don't know why it wouldn't work at all, however...

I also had big problems with Gforce2 and 3D acceleration in BG2. So I turned it off...
