I just saw Revenge of the Sith.
Wow. I can't wait to discuss it.
Only thing that bugged me was parents who ignored the 'not recommended for children' warning it got in Canada. Halfway through parents were escorting crying kids out of the theater.
Some parts of the movie (a lot of parts) are just flat out brutal.
I know some people will scream it's heresy and a piece of crap and Lucas should be shot for daring to tell the story he wanted to tell (there always will be) ... but I was thoroughly satisfied with the movie.
Let's keep this spoilerless.

Exactly - wow.
Yes, the movie was pretty cruel. It wasn't ultra violent or something but it was enough. I don't think more violence was needed (On second thought, I admit that at one point I expected to see more, heh, heh).
I liked the movie very much! In fact, I don't think I can say anything bad about it. At least, not now. I'm still thinking it over and over. I plan to go to the cinema to see it again in a few days.
I'm very surprised that this thread isn't already like three pages long! Didn't anyone else see it or are you left speechless?

No doubt this is the best of the new Star Wars movies. I don’t know whether the film was too brutal but it surely was a different experience than the two previous episodes. Afterwards I was left with a feeling of emptiness but I guess that was due to the fact that it’s all over. Can’t wait for the TV-series …

Hardly any more brutal than your average action film.
And yes, this movie has many bad parts, and I don't know wether it's much better than the other two.
Furthermore, I would suspect that episodes 7-9 will be filmed some day.

Was there actually even any blood in the movie?
I thought it was okay. Better than the two previous but the original series still tops, IMO. It was a nice setup for the next three.

No, no actual blood. There's only been one instance of blood in a Star Wars movie that I can recall - when Luke's face was clawed in Empire Strikes Back. In the context of the prequels lightsabers instantly cauterize the wounds (blasters do to a lesser extent).
Like all things the violence was brutal in context to a Star Wars. A lot of the Jedi deaths were far more sinister looking than an Ewok wailing because his friend won't move any more.
(No, the fact Jedi died isn't a spoiler. I think everyone knows they were wiped out. Details would be a spoiler.  ).
So while it was no more violent than a typical action movie ... it was more graphic than a typical Star Wars movie. Hence a crying six year old or three. I can think of at least three distinct scenes that I wouldn't want a six year old to see off the top of my head.

Right - it was brutal for a Star Wars movie. And you don't always need blood for something to be violent. While you are watching some scenes you just know that they *are*.
I am thinking of a scene that was less violent than other, but it felt more evil to me... interesting.

Of course it was violent; its called the Revenge of the Sith. I however wanted a little bit more violence. There were a few scenes that I specifically wanted because I thought they were essential to the mythology, and I didn't get them. With that being said, the movie was very good. It told me what I wanted to know and answered the questions that needed to be answered.
I don't see how anyone could be critical of the story because the movie had been told already. A large portion of this story had been told and discussed. This movie had been the subject of much more discussion and more major spoilers than any other movie I can think of.

Well, for instance, Leia mentioned her mother being very beautiful. I honestly don't think that scene implied her adoptee mother but as it was implied by luke asking the question, their real mother. These are minor things, that are debatable, but no one should be suprised that SW fans are doing just that.

Seen it again today. And now I like it even more. Somehow, the second time the story seemed more touching to me.

I have seen it, but it didn’t knock my socks off. Somebody mentioned that people come with the 6 years old? What do you expect, after big flop with Disney like Phantom Menace I expected special appearance by sponge bob. Anyway was it me or dialog really needed to be work on, and for the record Empire is my favorite (would be Return but these damn evocks walking teddy bears it was just too much).

Since they were taken as infants she most likely DID mean her adopted mother. For her own protection (seeing as she was a member of a very politically active family and not off farming water) I find it unlikely she was ever told she was adopted. Perhaps Bail's wife died when Leia was very young.
The first trilogy was so riddled full of inconsistencies that long ago I stopped trying to nitpick. Vader chases Luke down the canyon and immediately notes that the Force is strong in this one and puts it together that this was his son... yet has countless close interactions with his daughter and senses squat.
Granted, Anakin didn't know she was having twins... but why wouldn't Vader have picked up on a vibe from Leia? Those few hours Obi Wan spent training Luke on the trip to Alderaan made that much of a difference?
The basic story has plot holes large enough to hide a Death Star in... it's just the way Star Wars is.

I must say I did like how Lucas portrayed Anakin's reasoning for joining the Sith! Out of the prequel trilogy, I feel Episode II was the most like the original movies.
Episode I - is really light-hearted because it's about Anakin's innocence as a child.
Episode III - is extremely dark because it's about his fall to the Dark-Side.
I really like how the prequels show us why Obi-Wan and Yoda are legendary Jedi!
Can't wait till they put out a DVD box-set for the prequels as I own none of them. For the longest time I refused to watch the Special Edition Trilogy because I did not care for the extra footage. Now it seems more acceptable because of the prequels.
Lucas should be shot for overdubbing a clone-trooper voice for Boba Fett in Episode IV. Absolute BLASPHEMY! With that said, I don’t mind him digitally inserting Hayden Christiansen into the ending of Episode VI.
