Powerpaks are emant to be used as ammo for the Frontier Phaser & Mystery Ray/Gun. They are like the blunderbuss & some other guns where they use the same skill as each other but different weapons require different ammo.

Blunderbuss = Balls
Rocket Launcher = Rockets
Frontier Phaser = Powerpaks.

Ive rarely used these & have never bothered to pick ip powerpaks but others have said that the Frontier Phaser & Mystery gun both work even when your "charges" on these guns run out but i cant personally say wether this is fact or not & just 2nd hand information about this matter.

The powerpaks are definantly ammo though. If you find one of the guns i mentioned while in Bayjin use it to drop your charges a little then click on the gun while you have the powerpaks on your cursor & you will see the guns charges go up while the amount of powerpaks goes down.

I remember someone saying that there were a couple weapons that imported from Wiz7 that required powerpaks as well.

This was from a thread on the Gadgeteer

Might find this useful to see if the powerpack is used in any gadgets.

Yep the Mystery Ray/Gun is one of the ones you can import from Wiz 7. It can also be found in Wiz 8 though in Bayjin.
