G2 Gold: Switching from spells to sword problem

I left this over in troubleshooting but no response, so I thought I'd leave it here where there's a lot of traffic. Thanks.
When I choose a spell by picking a number assigned to it, after I'm done using it and want to go back to melee (#1), it doesn't work. It just keeps putting up other spells above my character. The only way to go from magic to using my sword is by first picking bow (#2) and *then* picking the sword (#1). Kind of frustrating in the middle of a battle. What gives?

Sounds like a bug. Is it faster if you leave combat mode with space and then draw the melee weapon?

Warmskin I had the same problem. It went away when I reinstalled. But I also removed all my key mapping conflicts... which is a long story I posted about in tech forum. Try reinstalling (again) and check your key mappings.
