Some weird bug issues in the add-on.

One general, and one technical so far.

General:
Vatras never gave me the bandit-sword-selling-Fernando-quest.

Technical:
Sky doesn't work. At all. It's just grey, regardless of settings(no weather either in fact, everything is just one big fog basically).

Just though you should all know about it in case you bump into it. First time I've had either, and they both occured in the same run. I just hope I don't get any main quest stopping bugs.

Of course, if anyone knows how to fix either(except do a full re-install), I'd be very grateful.

Hmmm, NOTR have been bugless to me so far.

That sky-thingy, you sure that isn't some video card thing. Did you download newer drivers between playing G2 (without addon) and NOTR.

I've got GeForce 6600GT, with the latest drivers. Can't imagine what could be wrong there, but NOTR might have a few issues with that particular card for all I know.

It has a few glitches, but I didn't know it had any issues in G2? Never had any at least(before this).

Also, Lances' body is missing. I know it's missing in version 2.5, but I always patch to 2.6 before playing, so now it's just getting creepy(yes, I know what bush he is supposed to be in, but he just isn't there. First time I had this bug too).

Many people had issues with a 6x00 + G2. It was hit or miss.

Shoot, didn't know that. All I know is that the 6800 version is virtually flawless regardless of game, but also costs accordingly. The 6600 has issues in a few games(experienced a few myself), but didn't know Gothic 2 was one of them. Oh well, I'll get by(and I will probably buy a new comp, or at least a few new parts, before G3 comes out).

I have an ATI Radeon 9700 and the sky flashes in and out constantly. Again I had no problems with the sky in G2. The game itself also seems to run slower, even when I turned the draw distance down.

Aye, seems the add-on is even more of a drag for the computer to run than the normal version. It's worth it in the long run though, because it adds quite a lot imo.

This thread has drifted toward gfx cards, so I will say my piece.

I have a GeForce 4600ti and bought it when it was way overpriced, about $400usd when they first hit the market. I have built other comps, tried other cards, but NOTHING seems to match the 4600ti's performance. I can run it at the highest settings without a glitch. No game has ever bogged the card(even tho my lame amd 1900+ HAS been hurt by some games)

I know newer cards get much higher benchmark scores now, but in a GAME I have been duly impressed. The nVidia drivers always run flawlessly for me, unlike some newer cards/drivers I have tried.

I look forward to buying a newer gen nVidia based card, but at this point I don't need anything better. No game can match it's current performance, so why bother.

I stick to nVidia GeForce cards myself, as I've had plenty success with them in the past, however the 6600 has had a few problems. I will probably stick to them in the future as well.

If you can fix it with a driver then there is no problem.

(That's the ATI motto.)
