What controls did you use for Gothic 2? It seems that using a mouse and WSAD is often used, but i prefer to stick to the good old gothic1 arrow keys and ctrl for attack, without a mouse.

Good old Gothic 1 had mouse control. At least the original (German) version.

yes i know, but that really wasn't going well for me because it seemed that when i pushed the mouse button only half of the time it would react. so i used the GOOD OLD ctrl and arrow keys (since those were much more popular then mouse with old games, example are the tombraider series, doom, quake, hexen2)

Definitely the arrows. Get disoriented when I have to use keys to move and mouse to turn.

Good site, but i suppose you mean 'rumors' when you say 'roomers'
and when you click on night of the raven 'story' you get to a page wich says 'page not found' in romanian (or a similiar languige)

and why post it here, create a new thread with that subject and look at all the replys.

And wat controls did you use for Gothic2?????

you foolish mortals, don't you realise the power that you might hold??
with arrow keys, the most strong and mythical creatures could be slain!!
Your power does not lay inside of you: the only way of achieving great power is to become one with your keyboard...

And play UT2K if you like your mouses so much

(if anyone can guess from what personage in what game the first line of this reply is, he must be a truly RPG-fan)

The mouse is the control of the new generation; it's precise, quick, and easy.

you fashion freak!
while i think gothic goes best with keyboard, ofcourse i use my mouse for almost any other game. wich would be also the reason i never bought a console or or anything. i can't think wat would happen of age of mythology without a mouse.
The only thing i hate is to use combos with your mouse and arrows. it simply doesn't fit together! (now, THERE's some fashion)
thats one reason i don't use a mouse for gothic, heres another:
Gothic II is all about simplicity, it has always been , and will always be.
using a keyboard is more simple than both mouse and keyboard.
you use both hands on a keyboard, making it easy to lets say trade, you never have to release your arrow keys with your right hand. you simply push tab with your left trade with your right using the arrow keys, hit tab to leave the screen, move again with arrow keys, its just that easy.

WASD is the way to play on pc. On Broken Sword it works with the keyboard, but nothing is like sweeping the landscape with the mouse, total control.

The console-players will love the keyboard and pad....forever. Pc-players stick to the WASD

NB: My pc is no longer, I need new parts to build up......don`t have money...until two weeks...

Miss my Heroooooooooooo
