How do you use lockpicks? |
|
I find it somehow hard to pick a lock, even simple easy ones, my skill isnt that bad more than 20, can a master "locksmith" explain when do you click to lock the tumbler? It's hard when you have only one pick left... _________________ Magic RULES |

Well... principally you have to click when the bolt is all the way up. Use the pick to 'throw' the bolt up into the lock and try to click just before it hits the ceiling... or do the 'automatic' lock pick which I found to be the safer way in precarious situations. _________________ Jaz |

Here is a handy tip when lockpicking.
The bolts have two sorts of "falling down". They can go down slowly, or fast. The first time is usually fast, and the second time slow. Keep ticking them upwards, and see how they go. After it has falled fast, the next time it will go slowly, so that would be the best time to click it. With this technique, I can open locks with 5 bolts using only 1 lockpick and within 10 seconds. _________________ Always wondering how it would be... |
