No Manual in New Game?

I recently found a new copy of Gothic @ Best Buy, and to my suprise I didn't get a manual or jewel cases either.

I had borrowed the game from a friend and really enjoyed (finished it about 7 times ) , so I looked at my local stores - BB and Circut City, neither had it. I figured i pick it up sometime and kinda forgot about it until I was looking for another game when I saw it. Naturally I grabbed it, but I was disappointed with the packaging.

Bottom line, did anybody else get a manual? I don't need one, and I'm glad to help Pirahna Bites, since they are the only company making great games, just curious.

Same thing... I just bought a copy from Best Buy, no manual, no jewel cases. The only official manual was a text file installed with the game. Its not like I really needed an "installation guide" anyway.

After a quick look at the manual I got with the game to see what it had, I pretty much have ignored it. The FAQ from this site has done a lot more for me.

My friends came with a manual. He got it as a gift so where it was bougth I dunno. The manual is a waste. Really only tells you some story, creatures, spells, and some other worthless info. But if I can remember right I think there's something in the manual that's not in the game....might be a pic or a character.

I know I didn't the manual, just want to check and see what everybody else got.

One more thing, when they looking for another title, I noticed the game was listed as an Atari release. Did Atari get the rights to Gothic when they got G2? I doesn't matter to me just curious as above.
