He is supposed to be "left of the north gate" (too bad left/right depends on whether you're going in or out), but I can't find him. Can someone tell me exactly where he or his hut is?
I'm probably missing something obvious and will feed stupid afterwards, but I have to ask... 
BTW, why doesn't most people show up on the "can you tell me where XXX is?" conversation options? I've talked to plenty of people, but so far I can only ask about Diego and Tharus.

First hut on the left side near gate to Old Camp - on left when you are entering OC from place when you started (from side when you go over river (bridge)).
On left when you are entering - on left when you are looking on castle.
