| lvl 8 shadowbeast question |

I lost a savegame I had worked on for weeks, and decided to make a new one the past few days. This save is my "final" before you have to join....there is little else to do....In this save I do not spend any exp, and have 76 in the bank. I spent 4 for something, but I don't remember what.
My question is to Wulf, Maylander, etc. I am positive I have beaten a shadowbeast at lvl 8, diggers dress, axe, str. 20(5 from ring), 10 mana(5 from ring), life about 100ish and a good protection amulet, but I am damned if I can remember how I did it. I remember how to take out lizards, and even orcs, but the shadowbeast has me stumped. I know I did not kill them "hunting with Dusty" because he will run. Of course my melee is useless, and arrows do little damage, but there is nowhere to trap and exploit them. I know I could lead them to a templar or someone, and make the final blow, but that is not how I did it.
With enough arrows I can clear out all the orcs, but I'm not trying that sh*t again lol. (Bait, climb, a ton of arrows, save, rinse and repeat)
On a side note, I did something tonight I never thought possible. I took out 7 wolves at once at that weak lvl with melee  But not really.....I did manage to kill 5 before the other two got me, but they did not kill me.....they just walked off when I fell, but I was not dead.

the same happened to me when i played it.Only that an orc got me that way
