Very confused.....

I just started this game. I have read the manual and I am very confused regarding the controls (which I am certain is probably a issue with a lot of new players). I have changed my controls to the more conventional WASD setup and am starting to get the feel for moving around and now can actually pick up items but I just opened a chest and have no idea as to how to put the items in the chest into my inventory. Can someone enlighten me? Is ther a tutorial somewhere that can offer me some help?

You should download JemyM�s FAQ from GothicDot. Just be careful you don�t read the 2nd half (-> walkthrough).

The controls don�t need to be reconfigured. The alternative controls are the usual WASD plus mouse setup. The readme file recommends them for right-handed players.

I am starting to get the hang of it but I do have one more question. Is there a way to ,ake time pass so that you are not wandering around it pitch dark? Most games have a "camp" feature that allows you to "sleep" until morning.

You can find a bed in every camp. I�m giving rather short answers because most things are explained in the FAQ. You can let your text editor search for keywords.
