I received an email from someone at Piranha-Bytes telling me that if I was having a problem with file swapping, that I need to change my virtual memory. He advised me to change it to a minimum of 800MB.

My question is, what do I put in the box for maximum? Anybody have any idea?

He said that is why I am having a problem with the game being very choppy and jerky.

Well, 800MB is A LOT for a swap file. You just have to set minimum and maximum to the same value, i.e. 800MB. Your swap file is then set to exactly 800MB.
I never changed the value, i.e. I let Windows deal with the swap file and the game hasn't crashed at all (maybe once in approximately 80 hours of play time - don't remember really). But if PB says so give it a try.

General rule of thumb for virtual memory is DOUBLE your RAM.

256 megs of RAM = 512 of virtual memory
512 megs of RAM = 1024 of virtual memory
