DS2 demo save vs. actual release?

Does anyone know if you can somehow transfer your progress in the demo for DS2 to the actual released retail game? Will the actual game read your demo save and start you out there? I've gone pretty far in the demo (to the point where I'm now sure I will purchase it) and I'd rather not continue on if I'm just going to have to re-play all the progress I've made so far... Thanks

The demo and the retail version are completely different builds of the game. So their savegames are incompatible. The DS2 game won't recognize the demo's files because the format is different.

Are there any editors for the game so I can change the guy i start with in the retail to the one I had in the demo? I really like my guy and would hate to start all over again, heh.

The developers have stated that demo characters will not work with the retail version. You'll have to start over.
