In G3 you'll be able to hire people too, whether or not they are farmers, soldiers or something else isn't sure. But getting help for certain quests will be possible.

well I like mercenaries 2. The first time I saw the title of this thread I thought you said something about the mercenaries in G1 and G2..when I realised what are you talking about here I remembered how I was thanking god because Gorn offered to help me up there at the rockfortress..and I say that the devs. may put some helping characters at some important quests..it's really fine to know that someone watches you back and you know you can count on someone to save your a*s

I really like the way "henchmen" are implemented in G1-2. They help you out at certain points, and become your friends, but most of the time you do your own thing, and they do theirs. I hope it will be mostly like this in G3 too, that you can still get help from Gorn, Milton, Diego, Lester etc when you need it, but mostly run around alone.

Yes, Biff remains on the island to gather loot and gets trapped afaik. He never returns to the boat at least.

I wouldn't like to have loads of hired people following me around, getting hit by my arrows and magic or my blade.

Gorn is the only one who is actually useful.

My best friends would be:

Lester (without the n) or Angar, I just like the two from the Swamp Camp
Diego
Milten

And there's quite a chance that we'll see them again, along with some of the others Jazzy_s mentioned.
