Yo sup all
i am told to put the ring on to activate the portal, but when i try to put it on it wont go on, nothing happenes??????
wtf is going on, did i miss something?

also i have not done the vally of mines mission yet, should i do that than i'm able to use the portal? |

You have to put the ring into the mechanism in the portal. Solve all the add-on stuff before you go to the valley of mines.

ok i solved all the Addon shit, but how the fing hell do i use the Fing key for the portal can some one plzz help me i';m so mad    |

You overlook something simple. Put the ring into the small hole next to the portal and thatīs it.
