Ultima IX : Detailed Secrets guide? |
|
Greetings Folks,
I've been playing through U9 with all the fan and official patches
and loving every minute of it. I wish it had been released like
this, As it was I had to shelve my Dragon Edition for YEARS till
I got a computer that could handle it The almost random crashes
while manipulating inventory or riding on a ship are annoying, but
livable now that I am once again in the habit of saving every kill or few minutes.
Anyways... I am wondering if there were still any sites or walkthroughs that have DETAILED descriptions of boxes and secret troves. I LOVE exploring, and feel that I walk through and scour every city and surrounding area before I move on, but STILL I have a bag full of keys after clearing Trinsic And worse yet, there are boxes that I can't unlock! (For example the Chest near the upturned boat on Skara Brae, though I have not yet explored the entire island and water yet).
Any tips or hints would be appreciated. I LOVE that there are little rewards hidden in the most inaccessible areas as kinda a 'thank you' for spending the effort to jump/climb/run/slide/swim to secluded beaches, nooks, and mountain tops.

That chest cannot be opened unless you started as a Ranger. The Ranger gets a key at the start that opens that chest. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!
What do I have to show for my hard work? A piece of paper! Wee!

Thanks! I also found a x-ref list of keys and what they open from
a thread on The Wayward Avatar. Turns out I am not so far out as I thought. A lot of doors and chests can be opened in more than one
way!
