Official mods a bust?

Is anyone else suffering from the dilema of having their character too powerful still, after the latest patch came out. I slid that sucker to the most difficult game play and still cant find many challenges. Don't get me wrong I don't play the game just to hack and slash, I love doing the quests and joining all the different guilds but I just want more of a challenge when I'm on a mission. I've stripped off all my armor and now I'm using a weapon that's in my lowest skill category. I love the game and hoping that we will see more official mods with possibly new continents that are a bit tougher. Anyone know if Bethesda will be adding thier own continent add ons?.......Till then I'm going to see what Gothic has to offer.

I found the difficulty slider makes the game even more boring, since all it does is increase the number of times I have to hit them so that they die. Since they can't hit me anyways, it doesn't matter how much damage they do.
Hitting a golden saint 14 times, instead of 3 doesn't make it much more fun.
