With rather attractive graphics and a mythogical setting that offers a nice change of pace, Iron Lore's Titan Quest looks to be the hack'n'slash action/RPG to watch. We talk to Iron Lore's Brian Sullivan to see if the Age of Empires co-creator can bring the same magic to this title:<em><blockquote><b>RPGDot: You have revealed that there are 28 different class combinations, based on combining 8 "mini-classes". Can you elaborate on this system? What are the 8 mini-classes?</b> <br> <br>Brian Sullivan: We have 8 mini-classes or skill masteries, of which a character will eventually be able to select two. This gives 28 total class combinations, and allows for a lot of character customization and replay fun. We have class combinations that support archetypal character classes such as warrior and mage, but we also provide for many mixed classes where you can be a warrior mage, or a warrior with a pet, or a healer rogue, etc. We also unlock higher level spells through the application of skill points instead of gating them by character level. This answers a few of my questions on PW's and Multiplayer and the toolset.

Primarily it will be create your adventure quests. I imagine without the scripts included that it also means there is not a script editor and possibly no conversation editor. In that environment I could see quest design as fetch and carry or go kill this type.

Also no mention of a GM mode.

Actually, that wouldn't give you the right answer by order of operations. Besides, it's always important to show your work. The correct answer is 8C2, the number of combinations of 8 items taken 2 at a time. That equals 8! / [2! x (8-2)!] =(8x7x6!)/(6!x2!)=56/2=28
