No, extra Wisdom will give you bonus spells, and lower rate of failure when you try to cast spells:

16 - A 2nd level spell extra + 0% failure
17 - A 3rd level spell extra + 0% failure

And so on.

Intelligence will give you higher maximum spells, higher spellcasting level, and a lower rate of failure when learning spells.

The Priest class will always end up as a higher level character than others, but they shouldn't end up with more experience.

Pretty strange.

Well. I quote the player's handbook, then:
"Any character who has a score of 16 or more in all his prime requisites gains a 10% bonus to his experience point awards."

I wrote what I wrote right out of the manual.. the tables in the back displays every advantage/disadvantage of a skill.

Besides, I've had Wisdom/Intellect of 25 using an editor, and Anomen still ends up with more XP - same goes for Edwin; he's smarter than Anomen.

Does it only happens if you succeed in his quest of becomming a Knight of The Radiant Heart, or what?
I haven't gamed with him before, but he is a ultimate character.

No, for some reason it happends no matter what, but he gains a lot of XP if he joins.
He's one of the best characters in the game; being both a good warrior, and the best cleric.

The 10% for rolling well rule (which I hated in second ed) isn't in BG2 or 3rd edition (thank god).

I mean, look at it... you're rewarding one player over another for being luckier with the character generation dice rolls. What kind of sense does that make?

Well, if you roll enough times when creating a character you will be able to get these stats:

Strength - 5
Dexterity - 18
Endurance - 18
Intellect - 18
Wisdom - 18
Charisma - 5

After that, just buy the belt of strength and get the ring of influence to boost the strength to 19, and the charisma to 18, ending up with

Strength 19
Dexterity 18
Endurace 18
Intellect 18
Wisdom 18
Charisma 18

Even though you have these stats, you will still not "be the best in the game" unless you are a monk(bugged class). Stats doesn't matter as much as they do in normal AD&D.

I was referring to pen and paper D&D with regards to the unfairness of the 10% rule. I doubt a DM would let you roll up enough characters to give yourself that many 18s.

"Look, Bob... this is the 725th time you've rolled a character tonight... do you want to play or not?"

In Baldur's Gate just hit control or shift and 6 on the character generation screen to get straight 18s. You'll save yourself some rolling and not have to spent 15,000 gold to get that character you wanted.

Why didnt you set up a poll, to find out which Character/Race/Class was the most popular? I would do so, but I havent looked into how to set up a poll yet.

Chaotic Good (Most fun to play, after True Neutral)
Lvl. 10 Fighter, lvl. 11 Mage

Still a bit green for BG2, but quite formidable. She wields a Katana +2, thanks to a bug which let me use a Katana that was personalized for some NPC, the one that you're sent to kill by the mages in Athanka. Beats me why it works, but. Meh. She also is decent with a bow, and can lay the smackdown in so many ways it boggles the mind.
